Trump’s Deportation Machine Hits 2.5 Million — And ICE Isn’t Done Yet, Not by a Long Shot

Critics said mass deportation was impossible. The numbers just proved them catastrophically wrong.

The Trump administration has now deported or driven out more than 2.5 million illegal aliens from the United States since the president returned to the White House — a figure that includes over 605,000 direct ICE deportations, 1.9 million self-deportations, and the first recorded negative net migration in America in at least fifty years.

WHAT HAPPENED

According to White House data released in May 2026, the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement operation has reached a scale that was dismissed as fantasy just two years ago. Over 605,000 illegal aliens have been directly deported by ICE, with deportation flights running around the clock. Another 1.9 million have voluntarily left the country — choosing self-deportation through the CBP Home app or simply leaving rather than face removal. Combined, the total exceeds 2.5 million people, and the pace has not slowed.

Just this week, ICE announced arrests of criminal illegal aliens convicted of murder, rape of a child, and cocaine trafficking. “Every day, our ICE law enforcement officers are out on the street arresting criminal illegal aliens,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis in a May 20 press release. “Yesterday, the brave men and women of ICE arrested murderers, child rapists, cocaine traffickers, and other despicable criminals.”

The enforcement numbers go further: ICE has not released a single illegal alien into the United States in eight consecutive months. Fentanyl trafficking at the southern border has dropped 56% year-over-year. Illegal crossings have declined dramatically as resources shifted to interior enforcement and deportation operations. The administration has also launched a $72 billion ICE funding bill currently under review in the Senate — which Democrats have moved to block.

The results are being felt on the ground. Crime statistics in cities with high illegal immigrant populations are shifting. Sanctuary city politicians who spent years releasing criminal aliens back onto the streets are being called out by name. And the American families who lost loved ones to crimes committed by people who should have been deported long ago are finally seeing the system work the way it was supposed to.

WHY THIS MATTERS / WHAT THEY’RE NOT TELLING YOU

The mainstream media will barely cover these numbers — because covering them would require admitting that the open-borders agenda they promoted for years caused REAL HARM to REAL AMERICANS. Every one of those 2.5 million people should have been removed under existing law. The fact that it took a change in administration to enforce the laws that were already on the books is not a testament to Trump’s innovation — it’s an indictment of every politician who spent years looking the other way.

Democrats are currently trying to block a $72 billion bill to fund ICE and Border Patrol. These are the same people who talk endlessly about “public safety.” They want less funding for the agents making this possible. EVERY AMERICAN should understand what that choice means — and who benefits from it.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

This isn’t just about immigration. It’s about whether the United States is a nation that enforces its own laws. For decades, the political class — in both parties — decided that immigration enforcement was optional. They handed out work permits, looked past deportation orders, and built a system where breaking into America carried almost no consequences. The 2.5 million number represents the correction of that failure. It represents ICE agents finally being allowed to do their jobs. It represents sovereignty.

OUR TAKE

America Learing Center has said from day one: enforce the law. Every law. For everyone. No carve-outs for the politically connected. No sanctuary exceptions. No catch-and-release games. 2.5 million removed is a historic achievement — and we will not stop saying so no matter how much the media tries to spin it. America is safer, and this is just the beginning.
